Cardamom Nut Milk (Kid-friendly coffee)

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

"Mommy, can I have coffee too? " "Why, yes you can." When you want to create that coffee-shop vibe at home, add cardamom nut milk to your kitchen's repertoire. This rich and creamy drink is a great alternative to chai or hot cocoa. And for kids who want to play grown-up, it makes for a great kid-friendly “coffee.” It's adaptable too. You can swap in cinnamon for cardamom, or cashew or peanut butter for almond butter, depending on what you like and happen to have on hand.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of creamy almond butter

1.5 cups of milk

0.25 cup of sweetened condensed milk

0.25 teaspoon of ground cardamom

Steps

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until thoroughly mixed and frothy. If you want this cold, pour it over ice or blend in a few ice cubes. Otherwise, microwave yourself a warm cupful (my preferred option).
